The HOTEL ALMANZOR is located in the heart of the Tietar Valley. Piedralaves was one of the first villages in the valley to cater to tourism. The Nuño Cojo ravine, with its alder, willow and pine trees and crystal-clear waters, gives this village a constant whisper of peace. Its natural swimming pool, called La Nieta, has modern facilities and is the perfect place for outings.
San Antonio de Padua church, which dates back to the late 18th century, consists of a single nave and presbytery. It has an arched barrel vault with beautiful Mudejar coffering. A polychrome Baroque altarpiece with carved angels forms the main altar.
The Cruz de los Enamorados (Lover's cross), is in front of the church (1681). It got its name because lovers would sit next to it for a chat after church.
Nuestra Señora de la Concepción was the original church, forming part of the old cemetery. It dates from 1500. It had a beautiful Romanesque porch and an open vestibule with arches resting on granite columns, which are no longer there.
San Roque Church, built in honour of the Patron Saint of the village. It was rebuilt in 1775, but it is thought to have been initially built in the 16th century, or even in the 14th or 15th century.
